choose wisely, it sucks to have a bike too big for the woods or too small for the hiway.
Try to go to a local meet and greet for coffee and ask to try on a bike for size.

I have been on the 650 and it fine. lighter than my quad. I was only kicking arounf the DRZ cause I can get it in SM and to convert it to off road use would be cheaper than buying a 650 and converting it to SM. the bike will never see the highway, just dirt roads and quick trips ripping aroud town. Prolly ride it to work 42 miles each way a couple times a week but even then I can take back roads the whole way.

Even the xt225 does fine on the highway (60mph) I think you will find yourself doing a lot more than originally anticipated one you get the bike!
