The IBR is quickly approaching, and since I've procrastinated so badly over the past month, I had to spend all day working on the bike:

- Finished installing Rox Risers to hopefully reduce the shoulder pain issues I've been having on long rides since I bought the 1200
- Installed a fresh front tire which should get me to the end of the rally and then home
- replaced the wiring harness on my Clearwater Kristas. Their new harness completely plugged into existing plugs on the Adventure-very easy to install. To show how bad I procrastinate, the lights stopped working last August.
- Cleaned all the verdigris out of my XM antenna connections and firmly fixed the connection point in place. Hopefully this will stop the random loss of antenna connection to the GPS.

It appears the thunder and rain have just stopped so I will head out for a test ride.

I can't post a public SPOT link for the IBR, so if anyone is interested in following along, send me a PM.

Eric

Have fun in WV.
Dixie was pretty happy to see us and she made sure that when we were leaving that we got barked and chased a little bit.

I hope you and Rhonda are having a great time and can't wait to see the pictures and hear your stories!!

Bruce, two things... which may actually be related. The first is, I dig your new avatar. The second...

Looks like Thing 1 and Thing 2 made quite the impression.

Actually, I couldn't agree with him more but clutch and throttle control is a basic motorcycle skill not exclusive to off road. Clearly I showed up with knobbies and went with the advance class as I have and continue to practice my riding skills.....just at a different level than some. Oh, and I was roosted more by others with tires not suited for off road use as they clearly didn't understand throttle control but yet signed themselves up for the advanced section on a muddy rainy day. Bottom line is I had a good time and stayed away from others when the antics were ongoing.
