They wrote me a check today and the owner apologized for a resolution taking so long. I am happy in the end. Still unsure what to buy next maybe a Hayabusa and an NC700x.

Was kind of biting my tongue, but I think part of the negative responses you've been getting may come from these contradictions you bring up. Can't afford a GS for years, you say, but bring up all the other toys you've had. Want a GS, but keep bringing up all kinds of other bikes. Riding season is almost at an end (make it sound like you depend on this check to get another bike), but now say you'll go elsewhere and get a bike the same day.

You just appear to be all over the place, and that doesn't bring out compassion in others. FWIW,

So happy for you that you got this resolved to your satisfaction.

Buy whatever tickles your fancy.

DAMIT MAN A BOAT ..A BOAT...

then in a few years you will come tell us all about it. Certainly it will be worse than the M/C fiasco.

In my mind there is only bike you can consider at this point.

For the good of the forum and the constituents of ADVrider.

The difference would be that I would expect the Ural to fail, constantly.

Expectations vs reality.

God help me, but I've been looking for a leftover 2012 GS in addition to some other bikes. I did want and still do want a GS, but can't really justify having one out of warranty if I don't have a reliable dealer nearby.

There are some incentives on the 2012s aren't there?
