MTX 200 transmission help please !!! :-)

I am having trouble getting my transmission back together... :-(
The gears do not seem to mesh together properly. Odd since I really have
not changed anything, the new counter shaft is exactly the same.
Here is a view of the two shafts together. Looks ok, but the gears still bind.


I carefully counted all the teeth on the gears, and two of the gears do match the Honda microfiche numbers. How is that even possible???? Here is a diagram showing the gears that do not match the book numbers. Very strange as those are the exact gears that came out when I took the engine apart.
