950 adventure 2 in 1 jetting question

Hallo i just got me a 950 adventure for a big trip this summer (Denmark to australia)

for the trip i need more fuel so i bourght me an xtra fueltank. For placing the fuel tank i got a 2 in 1 with acra mufler.

Question is. Do i need new jets? If yes whats the best set-up for a ok fuel ratio?

Its first time i make a thread so hope you understand and i did it right.

I found no difference in the jetting on mine. I later put the Rotweiler filter on. I've needed to go up some on the main jets.
I recommend getting Flex-jet remote mixture screws. Makes ajustments for altitude or temp changes a breeze.

You will notice a difference in your powerband. The 2-1 takes from the top end and puts it in the middle.

Jetting should be fine.

Agree 100% with the above, we have the 2-1 with wings Ti can with baffle in and we are seeing 40 - 45 MPG easily and the bike runs mint, all on factory jetting and factory airbox.

I have just added a prefilter and MW-R foam washable filter and it has a slight hesitation from the pilots to main jet transition.

Unsure if it is too rich or to lean so have some homework on that, suspect slightly lean but it is only noticeable when I grab a fist full of gas.

We also have flexijets from adventure machines, will fit these at our valve service in 1500 km when she gets her clothes taken off.

Prefilter will make it run rich (less air into the mix). You'll need to drop a main jet of two and move from a 42 to a 45 air jet. Other than that you have kens flexjets so your good to go.

Hmmm, keen to leave jetting as is, think I might open the triangles up and attached foam inserts to them to make precleaners. Maybe a couple of 25 mm holes would do it.

Thank you for the answers. I just leave them as they are.
Do you have a link to those flex jets? Sounds like a good idea

I was in the orginal pilot group on those.
Absolutley the best mod I've ever done to my 950.

Money well spent best part is as you go up in altitude it makes the bike so much easier to start if your jetted for sea level.

Very nice!,

Looking forward to see some pictures from your trip;)

Lyder fanme som en fed tur! Jeg er faktisk igang med præcis samme setup 2-1 og heck tank. Så er spændt på at høre om du kan mærke forskel på 2-2 og 2-1

Hvor bor du henne i dk?

Mvh jimmi
