The St. Louis Cardinals

As a lifelong Cardinal fan, I'm mystified that the current best team in Baseball seems to be snubbed nationally. There's seemingly little to no coverage on SC, or MLB Tonight.

I don't really care all that much, as I get enough from just watching the games.

The local mentality is that the Midwest gets largely ignored on a national level.

I'm curious about what y'all think, especially with the recent (last few years, by Reds players and others) dubbing of the Cardinals as a bunch of whiners and moaners.

Is it a Midwest thing, to be more ignored while the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers and other teams are spotlighted?

What's the outside opinion on the '13 Cardinals?
