I did, I've just been L-A-Z-Y. I've got maybe a hundred rounds through it and a few targets to show. More thorough answer this weekend...

Hello SS Steve, Now that you have acquired your protein I would like to ask you to confirm my taste palate, I had rabbits before but all I can remember is that rabbit "taste like chicken/same consistency too"
Am I right or does it have a more specific taste?

you can taste a difference if you had a bit of each but if you didnt know what you were eating wasnt chicken thats what you'd assume it was. same for a lot of things, everything is either pork or chicken till you know otherwise! it can be fairly tasteless which is why most classic recipes mix it with a bit of something else, bacon lardons for instance, and pigeon breast goes very well with it.
what rabbit meat doesnt have is any fat, and lacks a lot of other essential (to us) minerals too. rabbits are well adapted to not need much food, and even eats its own crap first time round if its in an area with scarce food. its young too if it needs too.
i think rabbit tastes fine but hare tastes much better. only trouble is here in UK a legal limit air rifle wouldnt reliably cleanly kill a hare

Isn't Air Arms and Webley an UK Co? They produce some high quality air rifles, are these just for exports?

I ordered my RWS Diana 34 from Amazon on Thursday evening and it showed up today! Delivery estimate was for Tuesday.

Naturally, though, the ammo still isn't here and that has a delivery estimate of Wednesday...

I have to say, just inspecting the gun and checking things over, it is REALLY nicely made, and I'm picky about such things. Very pretty rifle. If it shoots half as good as it looks, it should be a blast.

The 34's are good guns. Do a lube tune on it and you'll like it even more.

I let mine soak in a brine over night. It was very salty but delicious!

It doesn't taste like chicken to me.

I lightly breaded it and fried it in a cast iron skillet with vegetable oil.

Got another one tonight

My better half does some pretty good rabbit recipes ... Looks like chicken but doesn't taste like it. You should try some squirrel. Oh and also some pigeon or other wild birds ... I'm a big fan of blackbirds and crows
