The dixie mainline is hardpack, but mainly straight. There is some cool wildlife out there though. I saw an alligator in the road and a deer.

There are also some other roads out there in the refuge that lead down to the suwannee river that are worth checking out.

Sandy? straight and boring? Curvy and hard pack i hope :)

Zane: I live within throwing distance of where you work and have weird work schedules. Hit me up anytime if you want to ride for an hour or so after work. Most my stomping grounds are within miles of there.
Generally, a rule of thumb is if it's a national wildlife refuge (as opposed to a state run operation) things will be done much better (something about ability to print money to pay the bills ).
The roads in NWF's are generally not as sandy but have a good limerock base.
The benefit to this is much smoother roads (if you like that), the downside is that you need to follow the rules because with the bigger budgets they have the money to enforce the rules (and enforce they do).

This thread is kinda dying down... Anybody from gville wanna plan a ride soon?

I saw a couple dual sporters turning from NW 8th Ave onto NW 6th St. last Sat., it looked like one was having trouble with his bike. Was that anybody on here?

Btw had a nasty spat with a mountain biker at San felasco and I wasn't even on their trails, just in the big grass areas reading their signs and he gave me lip. I roostered his ass...

I'd be game but for some reason my chain won't ride the sprocket all that well.
Heh, Id have a new set but the ebay guy sent me a full exhaust for a quad today. Kinda cool getting a $350 part for $110. If he makes me pay shipping to send it back, Im keeping it..

Anyway, thought Id have my wheels back but no such luck.

Good. If you were in the right and a mtn biker mouths off, they deserve dirt in their face.

I am always down to ride. Last good ride was our outing a few weeks ago, John. Had a good time and always down for more.

Yes, Mr Smiles over there enjoyed towing me through several mud pits to the nearest road. We passed 2 fire trucks and 3 cops, no one stopped us to offer assistance.

Anyone have a 112 link 520 chain laying around? Tired of ebay and needed my bike 2 weeks ago.

Ordered a "sprocket/chain set" 3 times for my bike. One shipment was an exhaust. Another was a box of stickers. The 3rd got the sprockets right but the 112 link chain turned out to be 110..

And it appears no one keeps 520, non 0 ring chains in stock.

Thanks, I actually just found my chain stash after posting this. I just stole a roller and now running the dreaded two master link ordeal. Seems like after a longer trial run, it may actually fit with the stock links, but we'll see.
