There are some good numbers starting to come in for the CBR500R on Fuelly.

I thought the new Ninja300 would be a little higher than this.

I got 60mpg on my most recent tank. Not too bad for having a stop-and-go commute in the morning.

After sitting on the X model and listening to the engine, I am seriously thinking about one!

I'm 6ft tall and it fits me like a glove.

Try the 700 too, especially listening to it.

You folks buy a bike after "sitting on it and listening" to the engine? Just imagine buying a new car like that. "Yup, the new Subaru sure has nice seats, and I really like the nice quiet engine, here's my check......" Yup , that'd be really bright. How do the motorcycle dealerships get us to do this shit?
Lyle

They ARE good looking bikes though.

Nice to see the X is starting to arrive at some US dealerships. I'm 6'3 with a 36" inseam and I'm wondering how the X will fit me.

I'm guessing cramped.

I just sat on the X not an hour ago. I'm 5'9" 32" inseam and I found I was at the upper limit for size on the bike, not much move around room on it for me.

Well after an FJR.. come on.
You should try the CB500F or R!

I'm 5'11" and CB500X fit me perfectly, just like the 700X.
Both are bigger then my FZ6, and I'm not cramped on it either.

Goretx looks like he has plenty of room there, not as much front to back room as the 700. Bike looks good, does it come in yellow, though?

Cool picture: total fail on the shorts, ten points for a 'I might buy this bike grin.'

Just for reference, I just sold my CBR250R. The X has more room, but not by much. Maybe I'll change my mind about it after a test ride, but for now, it's out of the hunt.

Hey now! Respect the shorts!

The X has really grown on me. There are a lot of bikes to choose from right now and there still are some more models on the way from Honda (and Yamaha too).

I had a Versys for a while and didn't like it. I thought it was too buzzy. The X also has a bit of a buzz but I thought it was a lot less intrusive.

I sat on the CB500 and it was quite nice as well. I felt the reach to the handlebar was better than on the X. And the white was nice.
