I have a KDX220 I like quite a bit, an NC700X, a RD 400, and a Gas Gas 300 Pro trials bike. Pretty close to my ideal garage but I would like a Multistrada, or Hypermotard, or ZX10R, or something hyper sporty that is track worthy.

Chuck
Both close;

KTM 380 EXC
Multistrada
V-Rod

a trials bike and a more 'classic adv." bike would find a good home in the stable

Trail weapon...
KTM 450exc

Touring weapon...
R1200RT

That would pretty much cover my ideal garage, if I could only have 3 ;)

only 3 bikes....

for the street: Ducati 916/996/998 best looking bike, fast and a blast to ride.

for the dirt: KTM 450/525/530/500 can be configured to race or to travel.

for around town/travel: f800gs or tiger 800.

Hmmm, 3 bikes can hardly be called the perfect quiver, but I'll play.

Dirt: 2013 Beta 250RR

Street: 2012 KTM 990 ADV

Around town: Kinda split between something old and funky like a mid-50s Matchless, or a Husaberg 570.

Current quiver

2005 KTM 200exc (almost not fast enough, but still very fast)

1997 BMW R1100rs (best bike I've had yet)

1979 Kawi KZ650 (cafe style)

(looking for a Gran Canyon to farkle)

Dirt: whatever, you tell me. I'm sure I would have fun on any of those 250-450 non-street legal dirt bikes. Whatever you want to haul to the dirt for me, as I don't have a truck. Otherwise I enjoy getting into trouble on my 12GS

Street touring: would love a K1600GT, Dark Graphite Metallic

'Round town: R1200GS

If I was limited to the three you listed

Dirt, Honda CRF250X (Street plated)
Town, 3rd gen Honda VFR750
Touring, BMW K1200LT

I also have other catagories that I would have as well

Adventure KTM950
Sport / Track SV650S
Cruiser Vmax
And I would probably go with Sport Touring instead of touring and get a BMW K1200GT

Triumph Scrambler

BMW K1600

Ducati S1000 Classic Sport

KLR 650

I think that would do...

Oh and a Norton Commando, a new one would be great, but a classic would be cool.

And maybe an old Honda 750/4.

this is mine currently

dirt - wr250r/x

street - ducati multistrada 1200s

weekend lunch ride - bmw r100s cafe

track - aprilia rs125 two stroke

still want a daytrip, canyon ripper -- while the multistrada is pretty sweet, I was thinking something smaller and lighter like a ktm duke 690r (if I could get that here) and maybe one more year on the track with the little aprilia then bump up to a triumph 675r

Sport touring/Touring: This one I haven't decided on yet. Maybe a Triumph Tiger or Trophy, or Super Tenere, or a Ducati Multistrada.
After looking at a new Honda CB1100, I think that I could substitute it with a quarter-fairing and soft bags for both the RD and The sport touring.
For a dual-sport I am torn between a Husqvarna TE 511 and a Suzuki DR 650 for reasons on the opposite ends of the spectrum.
