Lisa at the water crossing near the start of the Micheaux ride Saturday. she claims a rock grabbed her centerstand

Dave - you should remember this crossing from the dirty dozen ride - it is wider and the bigger rocks are gone.

Learned my lesson already about contrasting colors. J4S won't let me live down that purple spring on the orange bike.

I went to Art-school, really did... Okay color contrasts, complementary colors are colors that (VERY Basically) don't blend well. When paired they strongly hold their own. Usually a primary and secondary made from the other primaries. Blue/Orange, Red/Green, Yellow/Purple are the simplest pairings. Purple and orange wouldn't have a color wheel clash but if both colors were of the same temperature or saturation that may have been what made it not look quite right. The yellow on the G is a gold yellow so stay away from deep purpley blues.

Howdy!

I am in NoVA for a few months, and look fwd to getting on my bike and checking out this part of the country. I will scan through y'alls posts and start building my weekend rides.

Cheers, and I hope to see you all on the trails.

Dorito -

Thank you! I like to ride road, dirt, trails, forest road, etc. I do like water crossings, and some knarly...however, I do ride a Super Tenere. I have taken it down some tough trails, and have impressed my buddies on 250s-650s...BUT, I know my limits!

I enjoy a long day riding, with a night of primitive camping.

This weekend there is a campout in Princess snowbird campground Seneca Rocks WVA. (2.5 hrs west). Good dirt out that way.
