Crutches, wheelchairs, and things!

Howdy guys. My girlfriend crashed her bicycle last week and fractured her pelvis in two spots. She's going to be discharged from the hospital in a few days and I'm having a devil of a time tracking down a competent wheelchair seller who takes her insurance.

Do any of you FF's have a wheelchair, crutches, or a walker that she could borrow for a month? She's 5'3", so she needs normal people sized stuff

Please PM if so! I'd be eternally grateful. We are in downtown Brooklyn / Chelsea, but can come to you!

I have a set of crutches (adjustable) I used for two days you can have. I can drop them off tomorrow morning or afternoon. Let me know.

Sorry to hear about her accident, hope she heals quickly.

Ouch! I knew those bi-sickles were dangerous!

Good luck to her for a swift recovery!

Hoping for a speedy recovery.

What kind of insurance do you have? If your gf went to the hospital and received inpatient care, she should be receiving a wheelchair. Is there a social worker in charge of your case? Usually there is one for inpatient care and they should be able to refer you somewhere.

Most medical equipment places in Chinatown will take all insurance.

They are not stock but are on a very expensive italian bike.

Not only do my Termis not have an EPA stamp - they are affirmatively stamped "Race Use Only." Hopefully, the police don't see that one.

Technically that is an EPA stamp. It's just not the stamp you need.

Haha, touche. I assume it's just a piece of aspirational marketing by Termi, though.
