Do you run OMRL? I have done several practices with that org. I have sworn off actual racing but I will ride for lap times in practice.

The BeaveRun/PIRC kart track has brought me more adrenaline induced joy than any other form of moto.

Sorry to hear about Stockton. Wasn't that track run by Elena Myers' father?

Yup! I usually race an NSR50, but it took a crap this weekend and fortunately the guy pitting next to me let me borrow his XR100. XR100 grids were pretty sweet, we had about 18 people in that heat alone. And yes, that kart track is a blast. I know it's not "fast" but pushing the limits of tire adhesion is always a rush, regardless of actual speed.

Matt Myers ran the moto-practice days and was involved in mini-roadracing in NorCal but he didn't have the lease for the facility which is part of the county fairgrounds. Can't say enough good things about Matt and the practice days he offered. Fond memories.

Apparently the economy has been bad recently and its having an effect on non-factory teams. http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2013/Jun/130623d3.htm

Maybe, in another couple of years, Dean Adams will notice the economy has an effect on the US domestic series.

Yes and contribute a few sheckels if you follow it. The best!

Michael Scott on the "Suzuki vs DORNA" situation.

http://cyclenews.uberflip.com/i/139559/117

Pretty much echoes my thoughts to a T.

The last paragraph is a little hysterical.

Remind me again the harm Dorna have caused MotoGP, vs. the harm that has come from the MSMA.

Easy. The grid would look a lot better with Suzuki a part of it in 2014. It would bring more paying seats and add a general excitement to the series. Yet, Espeleta wants to play hard ball with Suzuki, which seems to be a move detrimental to the series and to DORNA and to himself.

It is a matter of opinion, but not one which is hard to defend.

Suzuki are still holding out for a one-year contract. One year. How does that help build a series? And what does that say about how seriously they are taking MotoGP?

I have not seen that stated anywhere else. You must have some knowledge on the situation that is not public.

Obviously both sides are playing games. I am not sure Suzuki has the means, but if they do and they can come back full time, sooner would be better.

The reason Ezpeleta is playing hardball is because Suzuki has reneged on promises on the past, and while it would be nice to have another manufacturer in the series, it would be worse for a manufacturer to come in, sign up a rider/sponsor, then bail on them as soon as things got tough, which Suzuki has already done.

Michael Scott has been moaning about there not being enough prototypes on the grid for years; until he comes up with a sack of millions of dollars for teams to lease factory machines again, it's empty complaining. If he were running things we'd have a 12-bike grid.
