Hello Charlie,
this seat looks really nice.
The colours so beautifully ressamble to Peter Williams' John Player Special Norton (ok, this was just lined in red and blue on a white background, the part of your blue is more prominent on the tank). Peter is an ingenious guy who made that ole Norton compatative for a few years more against a so much more modern opposition! Still sorry for that accident that left him so handicapped! He will always remain one of the heroes of my youth and my over-all motorcycle-life!

Well with the summer onslaught of customers and our made rush to get this one done, I didn't get time to post any more on the assembly, etc. But we did get her done, well mostly. Still needs a couple of things.....a horn, the hydraulic fitting for rear brake switch, and a speedo. We have a Trail Tech, but need to come up with a mount for it. once those are done it will be ready for its official police inspection of a constructed vehicle.



Planning on getting a some better pics taken of it when we get a chance.

BTW, we did hit our target goal......she came in at 246lbs with engine fluids, but no fuel. We were aiming to get it in at around 250lbs.

Charlie this totally rules! I still own a 250r quad and love that motor. Even though i didnt know this was possible it was already my dream bike! I'll have to swing by and check it out sometime.

hmmmmm.

Let see now......ditch the body work and the whole rear axle assembly along with the front tires. Make adapters for the front to run conventional motorcycle rims. Adapt a modern sport bike rear swingarm assembly. Tank seat of your choice. Few other mods here and there. Eat your heart out Can-AM!!!

Anymore pix? It looks good from the ones posted so far, always thought that would be an awesome ride. My boss on the farm had a built 250r trike when I was in school, MANY years ago, it SCREAMED!

Haven't had a chance to get a real "photo shoot" done yet. This is a pic lifted from the Ton-up Ypsi FB page. Won the best of show in the Cafe Racer group.



When things slow down in the shop and we get caught up, will work on getting it plated and some nice pics taken.

Just wanted to pop in on this thread - its been an inspiration for me. I've been building a *highly* modified 85 ATC250R with 1/2 of a Ski-doo MXZ800 top end on the Honda trans, welding and machining the cases, the head, building a pipe, etc. Will go from the stock 246cc to about 410 when completed.

At some point I realized how much work I was doing to the thing and how little I'd ever actually get to ride it as a trike in the dirt, so after a friend forwarded this to me I really fell in love with it and have decided once my motor is squared away I will end up doing something similar with it.

I dig the looks of yours and how it came out, so thanks for being an inspiration for my future build!
