We should raise a collection for a giant lite beer sponsored "BIKERS WELCOME" sign...although that always attracts the wrong kinda bikers. I have no doubt she could deal with the baddest of em

Good idea..... if we could slip in a big "ADV" sticker in front of "Bikers Welcome".

+1

Perhaps someone can design a tee or stickers, mark it up a healthy percentage, sell them, donate proceeds to her, etc.

No doubt; she'd welcome them. Remember what she said about remembering how bikers used to be, “But I've always had nice bikers,” or something to that effect?

Anyone who meets this lady (and her daughter) can't help but fall in love with her. I know I damned sure did, and I thank her for allowing me to become a small part of her life. She's special.

Falcon86 and I are going to try to get by there later in the year.

We will be coming from Slatyfork thru Pickens. Is Rella's south of Hacker Valley on Rt 20? Thanks.

Yes, about a 3/4 mile or so south of Hacker Valley proper (YOU figure out where town center is ) on the left hand side. You'll pass a couple of houses on the LH side of the road in HV, and her place is a double-wide trailer as you start up a slight grade that has a marque-type sign just adjacent to the building.

I have to coords in my GPS if I can figure out how to get them out.

This what you'll see when heading south on Rte. 20:

The diner in Holly River SP is in the same building as the main office.
When we were there it was open, but empty.

There is a Bar B Q place in Hacker Valley (downtown) That has been busy the last few times I've been by.

Think we're probably talking about the same place. It's on the right in the next village (Cleveland). It opened about 2 years ago and Rella was concerned it might pull business away from her.

That's it.
Like a lot of places in WV, it's hard to tell where "town" really is.

Yeah, I can relate with that. While I have ridden over and back in a day for a special occasion, you pretty much have to want to go there unless you're in the “immediate vicinity” for some other event. “Immediate vicinity” in WV can be deceiving. Think they call those “country miles.” :-)

For me this past w/e, I was in Helvetia so a quick run to get there wasn't that big a deal. I made a loop of it, taking CR 46 out to 20, then down to her place. Since I was on the KLR, I came back on the Hacker Valley Road. It was a good day.
