I agree, this is my least favourite bend on the fantastic stretch of road from Callander to Strathyre. It's the last of the tight bends before Strathyre ... I like it coming south ..but for some reason am less keen on it heading north.
Another problem with it heading north is it is slightly uphill and and faces you right into the low evening sun on evening rides ..which can be quite blinding.

'R1 guy' - It sounds like you are talking about our good friend Gordon ...he had a red and white R1 a couple of years ago ....see below

Gordon (on left) and his red/white R1 back in early 2011...

..and Gordon (white leathers) sitting next to Sarah ..

he traded that R1 in for this 'all white' crossplane crank model later in 2011..

..and he has just traded that one in for a brand new dark grey R1 (which I haven't got a photo of yet). This is his 5th R1..... so you could say he is a bit of an 'R1 fan'.

It's a small world isn't it.

The chap in the Spyke leathers is Stewart ....no, he isn't a copper.....if you recognise him from anywhere it may be because he used to be a mechanic at Ducati Glasgow a few years back ?

Looking good bubu ...just shy a couple of wheels.

Another wet Sunday yesterday! ..what is it with this 'summer weather' ?!

This has to be the worst summer I can remember ...and we have had some pretty bad one's! ....Hopefully the second half will make up for the rubbish first half. Otherwise I am going to make a formal complaint. This cannot be deemed a 'summer' under the trades description act and it certainly isn't 'fit for purpose' as anyone trying to have a BBQ will testify.

Same here. The weather is grey, cold, with rain sometime, like in March or April...

Where is the spring?? of it is dead. Where is the summer? come on guy we need sun!!!

Could i sign your formal complaint too?

I'd have to agree with Kamchat Bubu. A couple of wheels would probably be handy 😃😃😃 and its good to see you are using the most important tool in any tool kit - a trusty 'Hammer'.

Touch of summer here too today bubu .....it's long overdue ...some of our group were heading up to Applecross for the weekend ..Sarah and I decided to ride up part of the way with them.....

It was also an opportunity to see Gordon's new R1 for the first time ...got a surprise to find TWO new R1's - Stuart had traded his Repsol blade in for one too!

New R1's .....

Car-like 'running lights' are new this year...
