Henderson/Vegas/Boulder riding areas?

Hello,

I just moved from California to Henderson, Nevada. I have no idea where to find some good riding for my plated XR. I prefer challenging trails. The more difficult, the better! Anybody know places to ride?

Thanks in advance.

There is no place to ride here in Henderson.

I actually do know some very bad ass loops in that area. My parents had a home near the lake I used to ride right out of the driveway.

If you have fuel capacity of 100 miles or so , you can blaze the fireroad across the street from the gold strike and hit Lake Mojave, and Nelson Hills with as nasty of stuff as you dare.

Cross the pavement (Hwy 95)and over a couple small mountain ranges will get you to State Line for fuel.

Word of warning if going to Nelson Hills. If you see ANY KIND of hand written No Trespassing signs, or otherwise, stay the hell away. That small town has some loony tune gold prospectors that will shoot you on site.

If that's too hot for you, head on over to Pahrump and ride the endless horse trails at Mount Charleston. Clark and Nye County NV have an endless variety of riding to offer.

Thanks for the replies!

Is this the "Gold Strike" you are talking about?

Could anyone point out Nelson Hills area on a map?

Thanks so much. I can't wait to check these places out.

*EDIT* nevermind, I found Nelson Hills :)

I think that one is called the Hacienda. The other one between Henderson and Boulder is called Rail-Road pass casino. Unless I have them mixed up.
You need to check out this web site: www.my2wheels.com
Most of the guys on there are out of Vegas. They ride Adventure, Dual sport and dirt bikes. I have ridden with them several times, and they are a good group to hook up with.
Welcome to the area.

I live in Vegas, and have a couple plated XR's, but I'm at work in the Middle East right now. Look up a site called dualsportlegion.com see what they have to offer. Ill try to get ahold of you when I get back and show you what I know. Have fun exploring!
