Right, because I'll never use it.

Why do you hate America and the American farmer?

In all seriousness, this seems rather trivial a thing to get so worked up over.

It has nothing to do with "hate" , its about being forced to use an inferior product to satisfy the agendas of politicians, and environmental zealots.

Pontificate your religion all you want, just don't force me to join you.

Because all graphs are linear.

The additional disincentive of being more expensive than gas per mile means I won't take advantage of this "feature" of my truck.
Probably has something to do with the fact that it's tuned to run mo' bettah with alcohol.

The stoich of pure ethanol is ~9:1, so that, coupled with it's higher octane rating (110 a believe), it's possible to make an engine MORE powerful than the gasoline burner. It'll just suck down a lot of fuel to do it

But in any other respect, I don't like ethanol blends. I wish i had the option of pure gasoline with MTBE. mmm. tasty.

And here we finally see the agenda. It's all about the corn farmer. Now I understand. Now I can ignore.

FUCK. Only local gas station just switched to ethanol fuel. Said it was against the law to sell regular fuel so they had to quit. Only reason I went there anyway. Shit. Truck got 17 MPG tops with ethanol fuel and moved to new city and have been getting 21-23 MPG even with air-conditioning going. Live in the mountains so power will just suck more inefficient fuel down the drain. No science, just put 165,000 on the same truck and feel/know these things. Fuck the corn lobby and if EPA mandates are not government subsidies - you're full of it.
