Day 1

Finally on the road and super excited, did take the road over Algonquin park to North Bay and stayed at inmate sherpaguy, what a lovely family to stay at, was treated to dinner and a breakfast with a lunch to boot, this was a great stay and the story's even better.

And of course the mandatory start.

Will post more later need to hit the road for now.

Hey Saralou I'm planning to stop in Vancouver on my way down, and pick-up some more tires, maybe see you then?

Thanks Greg that would be great, all this riding and posting has me going for sure. The start of most rides are always a bit tough, until you get into the swing of things.

Day 2

Made it to Harmony Beach Camping about 35 km past Sault Ste Marie, no free camping spaces out here and . $30 to hang up my hammock wow, I guess next time I will look a little longer for a laid back spot before pulling into a camping, at least I now know not to do that again unless you really have to (sticky note to self lol), at least it had a beautiful sunset.
Sherpaguy told me about the sticky note thread and some of the notes that were posted there plus some he made himself along the way on his trips, this was way to funny not to mention, so if you have some time look it up.

The cost for day 1: gas $37 for 529 km's and $10 for food ($47), it's below the $50 I'm trying to go for per day and we will see how this works out for the rest of the trip.

Day 2: gas $30 for 456 km's, $14.30 for food and $30 for the camping ($74.30), not good, will need to do better.

Next stop Thunder Bay.

All caught up. Camping prices in Canada are outrageous but don't fret because the prices will drop by 75% or more as you push south, so it will average out in your favour.
If you need any Canadian based support along the way (msgs relayed, parts shipped, anything) hit me up any time and I'll look after it same day. Good luck.

IN! Looks like another classic in the making. I followed Kedgi from Shediac to Ushuai, enjoy. I'm a couple of years out from doing several months. Cheers.

I lived in Ottawa for years and when I moved back west, I loaded my life into a Honda Accord and drove Ottawa-Calgary in 3 days. I'd love to do the trip again on the bike, but I'll settle for following you this summer.

You also get special credit for being a hammock camper!

Day 3

Somehow motorcycle riders always attract people, two older gentleman, hey where you going and me Inuvik NWT and trying to decide if I should go South of lake Superior or North, the two guys North of course because it's the most scenic, well they where right it is a very beautiful ride reminded me of the Pacific Cost Hwy 1 at some spots and a must do.

Made it past Thunder Bay and about 350 km before the Manitoba border, decided to look for a spot to camp and fond a transmit tower in the middle of nowhere and thought that would be a good spot, well here is another sticky note to self, unless you bath in Deet don't do that, I don't know how in the world you would be able to set-up camp and not be eaten up first.

The weather started looking bad and some thunder clouds started there show and tell, so I pulled into a rest stop that had this nice covered shelter made to withstand just about anything, set-up under it and am I glad I did, the storm hit with a wham thunder lightning all around and a real heavy downpour, after that fell asleep like a baby cradled by the wind in my comfy hammock, life is good.

Will post more later, for now next stop Winnipeg.

Hevy Kevy I followed Kedgi also, great RR and he tells it like it is, not always the case with some, I hope I can live up to it.
