In that case, throw the wedding anniversary off the list. It's the only responsible thing to do!

Then there were "3"...

You don't qualify anyway.

12. Holders of professional racing licenses are not permitted to take part in the competition. Discovery of professional racing history will be grounds for automatic disqualification.

Eric update

Just got off the phone with Eric and everything seems to be going well. It sounds like he is riding a good solid pace but not overextending himself and getting some sleep as well. He had a headlight bulb go out so he spent about 1.5 hrs taking the front end apart in a parking lot to make sure he got that stupid bulb retaining clip in place....that must have been quite frustrating. Seems like he will be quite familiar with parts of I-70 by the time this is all over and back home.

Hello

Hi, it's Lee (aka Bucco). Eric suggested I jump in and introduce myself and it's taken me a week or so to figure out how. My son Rich and I rode with Eric at the BMW Performance Center in March '12. I ride a red '11 R1200GS, live in Brandywine, commute frequently to work in Pax, and may have seen some of you along the way. I'd really enjoy meeting and riding with some other ADV riders in the area.

thx!

Lee

Looks like Eric took about a three hour break and is now back at it, in Kansas and moving West.

IBA update

Looks like a whole bunch of them are either at or heading to Pikes Peak....how much would that suck to have ridden for 6 days and then have to go to 14K feet in altitude, probably going to be a whole bunch of people wishing for thicker air!

Looks like a whole bunch of them found the same non-entrance road that we found last summer. Can't get there from here, and it's a loooonnnggg way round to get the right road!
