filler neck seal on 990

My left side tank has a very slight leak from the seal that sits underneath the filler neck collar (the one with the Allen head bolts). I am getting ready to source the part, but need advice from the group if there is anything tricky about replacing this seal, or what may have caused it to fail. Bike is stock, no flap or canister ectomies. I am pretty careful to not over fill tanks.

I have the KTM service manual, but it doesn't have any info on replacing this seal. I did check out the exploded diagram and it looks pretty straight forward.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
