I'm 90% certain Infinity, Lexus and Acura only exist in the American market.

Infiniti maybe, but the other two are widely available elsewhere.

See there. I said I was only 90% sure.

So?

Go pick up the phone and call Star if you want some in depth marketing reasons. I answered your question, but I'm not going to waste another 20 minutes I'll never get back giving you an answer you'll blow off.

If you want to talk about the Bolt, I'm game. You know, like how if they make that decal for other markets then you could easily buy it, have it shipped to your door, and put it on your Bolt, staunching the flow of butthurt.

I am still laughing at that.

I love the Bolt; next year I am going to buy one for my wife's first motorcycle. She is waiting for the next improved version to come out.

How do the rankings work around here boys? I am an 'adventurer' and the other guys with lots of posts go up from that...but then I see some truly spectacular rankings: 'Epic Douche Bags', 'Hegelian Scum', etc...

How many people do I have to kill to get attain such a rank?

I saw a Bolt in person yesterday and I thought it looked good.
Yeah , the little silver bits on the exhaust were a little cheesy looking, but not bad enough to be a deal breaker .

None in Georgia yet. I have all the dealers within 150 miles on alert to phone me as soon as they know when a green R-Spec is heading their way.

Thumb Just rode one today!

Yamaha had a demo day at Big St. Charles today! (I've ridden 20 years and various types of motos-sport, cruiser, standard)

First impressions of the Bolt:
Torquey engine with good sound from the stock muffler. Slightly tighter than my '05 Bonnie in the knees and hips. Right knee rested on the air cleaner. Dragged a boot heel through a tight right hander. Handlebars are in a good place. Got it up to 70 but traffic and other demo riders were the limiting factor.

Looks like a great machine to make your own.

Checked out a local multiline dealer yesterday, 3 Bolts on the floor, 2 white and a black.

Not a bad looking bike but I was surprised at the gas tank. I thought the underside seams would be a real turnoff compared the Sporty's but the seams didn't look out of place. However, maybe just the lightning and reflection off the paint, but the tank looked almost "blocky" with a visual impression of sharp angles on the sides and top rather than a smooth rounded appearance. Also tank is much bigger than Sporty tank, of course that translates to greater range but makes the bike look physically bigger than it is.

Overall a good looking bike for someone interested in a minimalist small-mid size cruiser.

I wanted to ask a salesman how many they have sold and what has the response been but the few present were all busy with customers looking at large displacement cruisers and sport bikes.

Any idea how well these first release non R-Spec bikes are selling? I was surprised the dealer had 3 on the floor, is this what others are seeing?

I'll go back when the FZ-09 arrives.

I think a lot of people are holding out for the R. My local dealer won't even get the regular ones in because he too thinks most people want the R.

I'm kinda surprised to hear of people talking about the seams on the tank. It's a Jap bike. They ALL have tank seams

Well, they should be making a killing on the accessories till all these 3rd party vendors come out.

I put the passenger seat on $200 for a pad on the fender and passenger pegs.

I was gonna put a sissy bar on but
$103 for the side arms for the sissy bar
$90 for the small sissy bar
$70 for the Pad
------
$ 263 for a sissy bar

$ 419 for the saddle bags
$ 120 for the saddle bag supports

Do get me wrong I love my bolt, but I'll have to wait till some aftermarket comes out.My Pocket not that deep.

But at my dealer they sure didn't keep any bolts there long...

It's tradition. Doesn't anyone round here appreciate tradition. Without those seams it's just a Wannabe metric.
