I would love to see more pics and tales of adventure.

Are you going to make it out for RMAR or WestFest?

Camped next to you at WestFest last summer and enjoyed getting to meet you.

Hi George,

Hey thanks for the response, hows it going?
No RMAR or WestFest this year unfortunately.
Local riding & family life for the summer with big plans for fall.
Will elaborate later.

Things are pretty good out here in NM. Bummer you won't be out here for the rallies, but I look forward to hearing about the "big plans for fall".

Fly-ride 15
Flew back to Phoenix.
Did a day of local riding there.

Rode to Vegas. Lily flew in for 4 days.
We rode out to Red Rock canyon.

Lily on the bike.

Stopped by the local attraction there.

Purdy ain't she?

This guy sang for Lily. He was smitten.

Yee Haw!

Local Couple.

Cuteness in Vegas next.

Cool2

Headed to LA
Caught some great live music & food at the Stagebrush. These guys Rocked.

Rode the Angeles Crest Hwy which was too snowy & Icy last time I came. It was nice but unfortunately I didn't get too many pics.

Checked out the roads & views in Hollywood.

Great hills. Hollywood hills.

Cool residences

Had a great time this trip as usual but especially as Lily came out for Vegas.
So as far as a motorcycling report don't think this one is that great. I already reported on LA last year.
Next report is back to Mexico & I can hardly wait to share the amazing pictures. Soon.

Cool2 Back to Mexico

Edit add in info: For touring info & insights I have primarily used 2 Books:
- Motorcycle Journeys Through Southern Mexico By Neal Davis. Purchased from Whitehorse press.
- Lonely Planet Mexico. This book is big. I tear out the relevant pages for the areas/towns I am exploring. This way I can have availability of the local map & info in my pocket.

Took over 20,000 pictures on this trip & had to whittle them down to just ~170 Best of, to keep reasonable. Did not include many for the areas I had already travelled. Concentration was to get to southern Mexico & if enough time Guatemala & El Salvador.
Trip was amazing & I think the pictures are too
Here the usual entry stuff. (Don't wait behind the huge line of trucks waiting, I didn't).
Crossing was at Sonoyta. Nice ride down from Phoenix.
2 new tires along.

Stayed 1st nite in San Carlos. Beautiful! Pics in last Mex report.
1 Pic in Puerto Vallarta.

South of Puerto Vallarta

Plaza Azul. A major vacation destination for Mexicans. Cheap & nice. Changed up my back tire while here, in hotel parking lot.

Rode inland on Mex134. Super curvy & nice!

Thanks for Mooving out of the road.

Oh girl aren't you just so cute!

Zihuatenejo.

Splurged for a stay at Villa Irma, on the cliff. Nice!

Cool2 Acapulco

The most amazing thing here is the surf curls up ~ 5 ft high & then comes up the beach ~40 ft. You have to time getting into the water or will get bowled over.

Margarita time.

This Helicopter was on patrol & there was a soldier with a machine gun sitting in open side door with gun ready.

Cool2

One of the things I really enjoy riding in Mexico is stopping at the local vendor stands along the way. The people are super friendly & honored that you stopped. Great conversing with them. This guy had a storey of drug dealing & incarceration. Also has a very young wife 26yrsold. Go figure.

Kid was friend & fellow vendor, brings over Tamales, which are also cheap & good. Got a turn at choppin some Cocos.
Coconut drink was I believe ~ .75 cheap & good. You drink the milk & then he chops it open & carves out the Cononut meat, cuts it up into a bag, adds spices & Lime. Yum!

Cool2 Lovin' it!

So glad you're keeping the RR going. I met you at the RMAR Rendezvous last year, and I've been enjoying this when you update--keeping all these places in mind for when it's my turn.

Keep the pics coming! They're gorgeous! Be safe and have a blast.

Lovin' it Roland! PJ and I are heading back to Mexico in January. Probably stay until March, or until it warms up in NC.
