My father and I made it to Deadhorse today! Also took a dip in the Arctic Ocean.

been working on the xr. fired it up the estart last night....vrooom, vrooom but it backfires. valve clearances on both in and ex are zero, i guess the valve remains partially opens when it cycles.

long 3 years, but it should be rolling by this weekend.
