I was set for a relaxed day when I turn down a road it's a dead-end. Not willing to give up I headed on. It turned into bikes swallowing ruts With axle deep mud And lots of makeshift bridges add in some big drop-offs with a canopy of trees yet another big challenge on the oat. I shot the pictures with my pocket camera so they will have to wait till I get back. Enjoying some lunch in Durant Oklahoma

Makeshift bridges, this was the stable one. The others, well I was afraid to slow down for fear they would crumble.

Now this is a rut.

crunchy on top but very soft.

Sure wish you had called when you were in Durant. Probably could have found you a better and cheaper lunch round here.

Glad you are back in one piece.

The pannier racks you fixed held well as I whacked a tree limb with one bag and hit a mound of dirt with the other.
I took a moment to read your post about the Baja trip. It stated me thinking about Mexico again. That sounded like a great trip.
I looking forward to hearing about the trip.
I am heading to Austin tomorrow to attend a video story telling seminar then visit some friends and family.

Just had lunch at Stackhouse burger in Dallas I got to meet Scott Russell at the motorcycle show here last year he was telling me about this place and the fact that Ben Spies Owns it. The food was excellent the best onion rings I think I've ever Had. The hamburger was awesome too

The Metro area is quiet lately

So what is up...

When are we meeting up again?

Any news?

When is the next ride...?

I do have an idea... i think it would be fun to get a group and start out in the morning and visit as many metro motorcycle shops that we can in one day. Honestly i have only been to three ... sad i know....( and one of the three isn't around anymore..)

Still waiting on a colorado ride report from one of our local inmates...

over and out...

how about a cookout at Overholser. I have a mini keg of beer that has been sitting around my house for a couple of months looking for an event. I can throw my gas grill in the back of my old truck and bring beer and a grill for some burgers or what ever any one brings. The breeze is usually a little cooler off the lake in the evening.

I could do a start-in-a-morning thing, as long as the morning is on a Saturday. Hitting some bike shops sounds like fun, except for my wallet.......
