Heading Down to Murphy NC

This weekend I rode down to Crawfords Campground in Murphy NC for the Screamen Beaver Dual Sport Ride.
See the details here: http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=762198
I won't bore you supper slab details from central KY to TN so I'll start just outside of Cosby TN
The weather didn't look that good just outside of the Smokys

I made a quick stop at Cosby campground

Next Hwy 32. This is a great twisty road with very little traffic

TN/NC state line

Coming off of Hwy 32. Left goes to Waterville road on I-40. Right goes to Big Creek Campground. Straight goes over the mountians to Waynesville, NC

Some pics of Big Creek

The trail head to Mt Sterling

Heading over the mountians towards Waynesville

At the crest

Another trail head to Mt Sterling coming in from the east

Back down in the valley

Next over to the Cherahala Skyway

Some more nice views

From the Cherahala turn down North River Road

The road turns to gravel and heads over the mountians towards Murphy

Yeah you can't get much better than this area for great twisties and exciting dual sport action. We are heading back up from Florida ( trailering the bikes of course ) later this month and will be all over up there.

Can't wait!!!!
