Gonna ride Michaux and Rothrock PA State forests today. Beat the heat.... go up a mountain.
Come to think of it....Going up a mountain beats almost anything!!!!!!!
Sometimes going down a mountain is fun too.

Lovin' that you are lurking Steve! Glad I could help. I am the same.... ADV makes work go by nicely. At least during the boring bits. I don't look much when it's crunch time.

More of BYOB Saturday, thanks to Wayne.

For all the times I was in this part of WV I never rode Dolly Sods,,,, til this day. Wanted to for a while.
For how remote DS is ... It can get crowded. I was surprised to find how popular it is.

2. To ignore an event until the last minute so as to avoid any expectations of attendance, but then show up anyway.

Love Dolly Sods!! Can really get to hauling down that road, let my mind wander and I could convince myself I was out in the middle of nowhere Labrador or the like

Thanks for the updates JAX! I know it takes some work to get it all out.

Hey Jax,

Since you know the Micheaux,....what do you know, about.....Micheaux?

There has to be some old secret gom'ment sites around there to explore.

I have wandered about the Catoctin range looking for the same.

Love that area. PS: saved some of your latest pics as potential backgrounds.

Micheaux? Never heard of it.
There is a Christian Retreat, if that floats your boat.

I don't think you'll have to wander far in the Catoctin before you meet the secret service. I refrain from such behavior. Just boring ol (legal) gravel roads for me.

You are more than welcome to use my photos.

UGH.... I counted 17 deer in a 12 hour period riding in the area. Several in the middle of the friggin day!!!!
Somebody needs to make jerky outta the suckers.

Last of BYOB:

And back on the road Sunday 7/2 Making for Chapel Hill NC.

I was meeting a WW2 Hero (Dr. Jones) for breakfast on Monday. I recently found out that my Father was part of the most infamous beach landings in Europe and Africa in WW2. My Dad's ship the LST327 picked up Dr. Jones in Anzio and transported him to a safe port.
I'll introduce you to him and add details later... It's a great story that I have decided to tell here.

Quite superior photography Jack. And it looks as though you are taking bungees and cargo nets to the next level with that load.
