Thanks for sharing these links. http://www.bmwboxersupplies.com/ is another good Euro supplier. No tanks but lots of other cool stuff for boxers. There seems to be a frenzy about R80G/S parts especially the PD stuff. Some individuals are specializing in buying this stuff up and driving prices up too. I've recently seen PD tanks going for up to 1,400 bucks used and it's good to know you can have a brand new one for less so why get into bidding wars on eBay for this stuff?

Funnels for Airheads

We, my family and I, will be visiting the in-laws in the UK later this month. July 15th thru the 30th for me, longer for the wife and kids.
Any inmates want to save some shipping charges on funnels, let me know and I'll bring some with me so they can be shipped locally. Let me know colours so I can prepare. (notice the extra 'u' in there ? cool, eh ? )
Also, does UK use the evaporative fuel nozzles ? If so I'll bring a couple of gas cards to see if they'll work on your nozzles.

I'll be taking my lap top so I can still hang out and check pm's etc.

Here is the info:

Mods, if this is out of line I apologize and please nuke the post, thanks.

R100 mono saddle bag mounts

Le bumpity bump.

I had these mounted on a 1988 R100RT. The chrome isn't perfect but it's pretty good. Probably, they'll fit Multi years/models. But as stated I had em on a mono lever RT.

Tried to capture pix of inside dimensions:

I had a pair of the big, boxy BMW system cases I used with these. Bike's gone, cases are gone, these are still here. How about 150.00, OBO -buyer pays shipping from 17043?

PLEASE PM OR email me at
Ricochet_rider (AT) yahoo (DOT) com.

Thanks!

I need a gear shift lever for the outside of my 1975 R90/6 transmission. It is part # 2;

If anybody has one they can sell please send me a PM. I would prefer using PayPal because I could put the money on a credit card but other arrangements may be made. I live in Maryland.

Part Found. Thanks to BMW Euro

R100GS 1988 San Francisco seeks good home

This bike needs a good home, I hate to sell it.

$4250 and worth it.

I have a 1988 R100GS I have owned it for several years, and it has taken me places and on trips that most people can only dream about!
Death Valley, Trans America Trail, Lassen, Shasta, Big Sur -- all over!
Perfect for that Alaska trip!

Bike has 44k Miles
No leaks and well cared for.

(Took a little break from sale for my kitchen remodel...)

Seat:
-----
Most comfortable seat in the entire universe, and I'm not kidding. I would keep it but, well you know.
Older Mike Corbin seat, has small tear in it. A ride in to Corbin will be $150 for a new cover.

Engine:
-----------
Crank balanced and Magnafluxed.
Dual plugged with Dyna Coils.
New Plug wires
BMW 336 cam, 1mm more lift and 15 degree longer
duration

Forks:
----------
Originally off a 1991 KTM 250, WP4054. KTM fork triple clamps
Revalved and serviced at Superplush in SF

Front Wheel:
----------------
Stock BMW with custom spacers and axle to work with
the KTM forks.
Harrison 6 Piston caliper in front with steel braided line. She stops!

Rear Shock:
---------------
Ohlins, sprung to carry some weight, and revalved at Superplush in SF.

Tank:
------
11 Gallon HPN (Ascerbis). Easily gives you 300 Plus miles.

Miscellaneous:
-----------------
Front blinkers are Acerbis
Pivot Pegs
The front fender is a Acerbis Baja, with Paris Dakar Flare.
Tire are brand new Knobbies with 0 Miles.
Stock Luggage
Rear Luggage brace (this is a BMW part that I think they included on later models or PD)
Replaced Starter
Oil changed every 3000 miles or less (this includes trans and final drive. Hey oil is cheap!)
Oil Cooler bypass (oil cooler removed, it was aftermarket and failed in Death Valley. FTS.)
Speedo redone at Palo Alto Speedo (fixed the plunger rubber!)

This is pretty much *the* ride anywhere, do anything bike.

I hate to let this bike go, looking for a good home.

WTB /6 or /7 Headlight Reflector

I'm looking for an unusable headlight reflector for any /6 or /7. I need the bulb holder out of it.

Right side valve cover for /5 wanted

I had a rather embarrassing drop today and trashed my right side valve cover. It is leaking oil through the rash the drop left. No other damage so I am grateful.

Does anyone have a serviceable one they can let go cheap?

PM me please if you have one.

Thanks,
Mike

Sorry I don't have one but if you want to keep riding in the meantime and the cover is still intact other than rash JB Weld will fix it cheap and good for now. It's been done many a time before.

Hey no problem. Just make sure you get is super clean. Sand or wire wheel the area first. I use acetone to totally degrease stuff like this to make sure the epoxy sticks well.

Parting Out 1973 R75/5 LWB

I'm parting out a '73 R75/5. Let me know if there's something you're looking for. The tank, headlight, speedo, and carbs are already gone.
