Hello BBDoR folks! In case you haven't seen, there's a Pachaug CNR to celebrate the retirement (and subsequent moving to Colorado ) of the founder of the BBDoR ... mrt10x.

Get your camp on!

Can't be his birthday.

Time spent on two wheels is deducted from the total, he's got YEARS to go before he hits another birthday.

All the nonsense about Pi triggered my BSC alarm, I want nothing to do with "Harmony motors", regardless of how well they don't know geometry.

Probably from China. 3yr warranty, but is there a dealer to bring it too?
I doubt it, unless you ship it back to California.

Jerry, I don't know what happened to your post, but sorry we missed you today. Just could not get over to Razee's in time. Had an interesting ride today though. They are replacing a bridge on Austin Farm Rd in Arcadia so the road is closed, but the gate to this was open, so I assumed it was a detour. Never been through here before.

and Bliven trail now looks like this. WTF?

Ended up with Bar-B-Que for a late lunch at the bus in Wyoming

Yum!

Even though I marked the Somers Fun Run on my calendar a loooooong time ago, I'm going to skip it this year. The day after I have to be all spiffy at work...with my luck, I'd have one of my spectacularly ungraceful falls and have to smile through the pain all day Monday.

I'm up for alcontrast's Devils Hopyard camping and riding. Anyone else interested? The riding in the Hopyahrd is wikkid good, and BritJam, who doesn't love a rally of old men and old bikes?!

Last year I set up a little camp n ride at Devils Hopyard SP and it went pretty well, some of you reading this attended.. It was a mixed weekend of riding where Saturday was big bike oriented with pavement, dirt roads and some dual track, etc. Sunday was biggish bike capable but more off road/650cc or less oriented.. I think I'd stick to the same sort of plan...

-part of 2012's camp

-2012 - play area / rest area

I was thinking of that 17th/18th weekend because on Sunday the 18th there is "Brit Jam" in the same town..

Last year was the first time I heard of or went to Brit Jam but it's been happening for 28 years.. There's a solid attendance and just checking out the bikes in the parking area is fun.. There were some GREAT bikes entered in the show part of the jam. My two favorites were the WW2 scooter sort of thing (Welbike) that folded up to fit in a parachute canister so it could be dropped into the battlefield.. The other was from the beginning of the 1900's and I had to study the bike for a while just to figure out what purpose various parts served.. It had rim brakes like a bicycle and it had lamps that were illuminated by burning acetylene gas (produced by water slowly dripping on calcium carbide) and the headlamp was burning (aka: on) as the bike sat there in the grass field for at least a few hours. One step up from using a candle as your headlight but it worked! That bike's owner obviously went home with a trophy.

Brit Jam has a $10 entry fee but that fee enters you into a raffle to win a Triumph Trident T150 so in my eyes it's worth it. You have to be there at the time of the raffle to win which is pretty cool.. The event is from 9am to 4:30pm.. The raffle is the last thing they do.. I was thinking we could get a good ride in early in the day and end the ride at Brit Jam around 1-2pm.. There's food and beverages available there as well as vendors and a bit of a swap meet thing going on. Being a sweaty mess in off road gear while exchanging money for prepared food and cold beverages while surrounded by beautiful classic bikes and people in normal clothing is a fun way to end a ride. If riders didn't want to spend $10 to look at bikes they could head home or I could supply gps tracks for additional riding options..

.
anyone interested?

I was just on that last week. I trust your ride is a lot drier than mine was?

It must be - you've got a fire going. It was raining hard enough on me the GS never warmed up.
