Mike, I know what you mean. That is a great picture of Don and Tracy! Their warm and captivating style really shines.

Denis, you guys have fun out there! Don't forget to remind those guys to ride slowly, and to stop when checking out the scenery. You probably don't need to remind them not to gun it in mudholes and to watch out for trees alongside the trail, but be on the lookout for signs indicating you might need to take measures to reign in any tendencies for going on wild streaks.

And Randy, yes; "riot" pretty much sums it up.

I checked the rain gauges earlier today and Northeast Rockingham and Southern Page counties got hammered, 4" to 5" in some places!

Don't know if any of you are aware, or even care, about online rain gauges...

http://72.66.190.197/Virginia_IFLOWS/

Click on a green(or red) box in the county you want to see gauges in, then, in the new "blue" window, click on "go to table". It lists all the rain and very few if any river gauges for that county over a twenty four hour period.

Taht's awesome! Very cool site. Wish they were tied into local weather-watchers. But still cool to have a few gov't sites even if they are in remote areas. You can tell it's a gov't website because 1) they make you select an option even though there's only one, and 2) they decided for us that we needed it to open in another window (tab) instead of letting us decide. Their missive of running our lives by knowing what's best for us is something they take seriously!

I've been using the USGS site for years. It's handy when you're thinking about going canoeing. They have so much data about so much on there now. The VA rivers are in the over 90%-ile now, and the North fork is not all that high right now in absolute terms, as in the spring I've seen it over 6' before, but it is spiked up.

I haven't been on the roads since the big rain but I heard on the news there was problems with roads flooding in the area.

That's right, shut down newspaper presses so they couldn't spread the word of what he was up to and locked up people who openly disagreed with him.

But it's funny because I get it while at least 99% read it and think he actually meant it, and that he was a "wonderful man" and "great president" all while being the biggest abuser of power and perverter of the constitution.

Hey, I don't speak whatever language that is that you city slickers try to impress each other with. Just a simple not-too-bright country boy.

It has been hectic ...
Black berry season will start soon...
The garden is doing good .. Have picked a few cucumbers .. But nothing to cann yet ..
The maters have not set fruit yet.. But they only got in the ground the middle of June....
I have started the 2nd crop of lettuce .. Will pull the bolted stuff soon...
The romance is still sweet ... But the red sails is getting bitter...
