Gliga,
You should start a moto-touring company. With ride reports like this, you should have adv-ers lined up for a chance to tour some of these backroads with a guide. Thanks for the great ride reports.

Wow, some nice comments while I was gone. Thanks for the support, I really appreciate that.

While we're on that subject, yesterday I got back from another short trip, Montenegro and Bosnia once again. Exploring some new roads with great company. Again, only few teaser shots for now. There will be more, plus a RR once I finish this current RR... So many beautiful places to see, so little time to do it

Durmitor National Park, Montenegro:

Sinjajevina mountain, Montenegro:

Bjelasica mountain, Montenegro:

Komovi, Montenegro:

Border between Montenegro and Albania. Albanian peaks in background. That's destination for the next trip

Moraca canyon, Montenegro. When was the last time you were able to drink water straight from the river? Well, you can do it here without any worries.

Somewhere in Montenegro

Minor back roads in Montenegro

Durmitor NP once again

Vranica mountain in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Amazing! There are some photos that could be straight from a bike magazine.
Could you share some info on your camera gear? Sorry if you already did, I must admit I didn't read everything, the photos were too distracting!
I love your editing and your style.

Thanks for all the compliments. Roads aren't that bad, it's only a few very short sections which are tricky. I had no trouble riding any of that in my second season on a bike so it can't be that difficult

Camera is Canon EOS 450D (XSi in US market) and three lenses (kit 18-55 IS, old 35-135 and even older, Russian manual Helios 44-2). For snapshots I used Canon Powershot A570 IS.

Trip finished indeed, sadly. Photo's and RR will be shared in a few days, hopefully. I'm a bit busy getting real life back on track after the time away

Your suggestion for nothern Albania was excellent, the western loop is fantastically beatifull and fun to ride. Very technical at times :)
I wish I could ride it again soon, I was fearing running out of fuel and I was uncomfortably hot (really need different gear next time) so I didn't take the amount of pictures it deserved.

Such an amazing ride report! You not only ride the terrain, but capture the essence of the experience with your photography and commentary. I now know I need to visit the Balkins...

All the Best,

.

Gliga, Photobucket has taken down your earlier pics

It's got me wondering about the number of inmates who go around quoting whole posts full of pic's
Doing that increases bandwidth on photo sharing accounts and can mean the pic's are taken down until the account holder upgrades to one where they have to pay money. Not good.
