I DON'T think I pissed off a Harley rider yesterday.

Had the day to myself (Saturday actually) so went out for a rip on the SE
On a main 2 lane open hwy , I know the are pretty well so not too worried about the speed, easy enough to take off onto one of the many dirt roads into local dirt riding areas if the cops show up.
Anyhooo..come up behind a harlie , no bags or faring doing 90kph behind a truck BIG fat tire on the back, SS pipes, shiney red, tire hugging rear fender.
The road opened up to 4 lane and he gave'r and passed the truck so I kept right with him, he settled at about 130k. So I pulled up allong side of him and when he saw me he gunned'r again......well the race was on!!
We booked'r to about 170k or so then there was this pretty sharp right-hander(still a 4 lane hwy), everytime he looked over I don't think he liked having a dirtbike beside him ( he stayed in the left lane I in the right lane).
Well I know this corner so I chopped the throttle and let him take the lead and he moved to the inside lane preceding the corner....YIKES....HE AINT GUNNA MAKE IT!!!
He drifted across 2 lanes and ended up in the on coming lane (lucky for him there was no traffic)
SO ...It was apparent that he was going to ride'r out so I throttled-on and passed on the inside ans settled about 140k again.
HA..... he not only straightened out but ROARED DA FUCK PAST ME
THROTTLE....ON !
He had the jump on me ...AGAIN... I finally caught him and we were doing about 185k..then I chopped the throttle, I still had a little left ( was worried about the rear MOTOZ knobbie, it's only rated for 130kph), right away he did the same.

Aaahhh...that was awsome
That Fooker really went, I was impressed
I think he was pretty close to maxed out also by the sound of his bike, if not he would have kicked my ass if we kept going( I think he might have been pulling away from me at 180...but I'll never admit it)
When the 4 lane ended he drastically slowed to 90kph which kinda surprised me...but I was still way to the right and kept a good distance from him.
When I passed on the next 4 lane( doing slightly over the posted limit we exchanged Thumbs Up.

Harlie Davidson was celebrating 100 years of manufacturing that weekend, and Our local dealer had a big party going on at the shop just off the hi-way, that's where this fella went.
Big stage , Biff Naked and free BBQ.

I wish KTM would throw a parrrrr-tay like that
(this may or may-no have happened there's NO VIDEO so don't send the cops)

All in all , a great day of riding, CHEERS Biker Dood.

Good story. I love the SE.

You should probably throw some TKC-80s on that bike.

A TKC-80 rear would last about 1600 miles on an SE

(with me riding it)

Ok, I think Harley's are wonderful accessories to the pirate lifestyle.

HAHA...this just proves folks like bullie threads better

No Action at all!
!

I work with this guy....a really nice guy.
He sat on my SE one day shortly after I bought it, he had always rode cruzers, never rode a dirtbike.
He sat on the SE and and almost fell over...he did the "sit on the seat, stand on left toe, slide his hips so his ass is centered and fall over the other way cuz the ground is not there" (I stopped it from actually going over).
He got off the bike and said that his thighs actually hurt from sitting on it. I offered him a test ride but he declined saying he he wouldn't be able to stop anywhere

My buddy owns this bike, he has put it up FS a few times but then pulled the add "I'm NOT ready to sell the chopper yet"
He does NOT like it being called a Harlie...it's a CHOPPER
He says after a ride his back hurts, his arms hurt and his ass is sore from the shitty seat......and can't wait to get back on it tomorrow.

He has offered me to take it out for a boot many times.....but I always have an excuse.....erm reason not to
I usually tell him I have not got my pants caught in a chain since I was 8 years old, and that belt looks worse, I would prolly come back with no pants on.
I think this summer I will take him up on it though

SO this is my ride of choice......all this and 200kph to boot

......it picks up chicks

It's even great for 2-up in the dirt.

Hmmmmm......
