Give us a bit more info re the Andreani fork cartridges. I know Ohlins also make for the HP2.

hp2 enduro

I believe the bike is at its best on rough adventure trips where the blacktop stops and the dirt road becomes a mess . I could never have hoped to take my gs adv or my 1150 gs on the roads ive taken the hp2. And on the other side of the coin, its a lot easier to get out of trouble on it. Its a darn side easier to pop the front wheel on obsticals and generally move about at slow speed. My only grip is the throttle sensitivity. Its easily the best outback bike I have ever ridden. Sit on 140 all day if u want on the dirt (if conditions allow) and mix it with your mates on smaller enduro bikes. You can ride a 1000k through dusty rough conditions and get up and do it all again and the bike loves it. Like the other post said, I just look at the bike and it makes me happy and feel free to go at a moments notice.

Just asking a legitimate question since this looks like a thread where owners actually ride their HP2s.
Hope you have seen his fine red frame bike

Looks great in white - is that a headlight and mudguard set up from an XChallenge?

From my recent 7-day 4000km ride to Rudall River National Park in Western Australia. Extremely remote. Search in Google Earth if you want to see how remote. If you do, those red lines are desert sand dune ridges.

Hamersley Ranges in the background. Billions of dollars of iron ore are in those ranges which is the prime feedstock for China's massive infrastructure boom over the last decade.
