its so cheap to tag and operate one

2000 drz400E
i have seen full on mx bikes with road going kit and a legal tag

Don't want to put the $400 into a dual sport kit, I can tag it whenever I want.
Since I watch side by sides and quads ride by on Rt 72 on a daily basis with no plates I see no reason to plate my bike.
I have two plated and insured bikes, the EXC doesn't see enough hard road to bother and the state gets enough of my money.

i have spent that kind of cash on a ds kit

i do feel your pain in that mater, but i would rather beat them by the rules

at least until wv grows up and sees how much cash the state is missing out on by not having an ohv tag

There are several hundred acres closed to me right now due to this bullshit.
Absolutely beautiful area too.

I have an EXC sitting here if you want to come over and ride.
It's not plated, so if we pass a cop you will have to run for it.
Yea, I run in to the same crap where I'm from. A handful of idiots ruining things for the rest of the idiots.

That sounds like a good time. I don't think I'll be able to swing it this weekend, but hopefully soon.

I've heard people talk about those gazetteers before but I'd never seen one. I'll be procuring one of those ASAP. Thanks for all the info. fellas.

I would gladly pay for an OHV tag IF the money went to develop and maintain riding/wheeling areas.

Just put the chain slider, guide, sprockets, and chain on. I dropped from 52 to 50 and am getting ready for a spin. The bike hasn't moved in two weeks. Touched the button and it was idling.

That gearing is nice, I'll see Offroad. Cruises nice at 55. Get on the bike and have second thoughts of selling. Guys we need to get together and plan something.

The offer is still open for a Fayette County ride. It will include the Gauley/Meadow River trail, a side trip into the Gorge at Nuttalburg, another trip into the Gorge and across the bridge at Fayette Station and then some back roads to wherever we began.

We could also do Beury Mtn from Thurmond and the return trip from Prince thru McKendree and back to Thurmond. Mostly dirt roads on that one.

Just let me know when you can go.

Spoke with bob earlier, possibly Sunday. I will let you know. Can we do Paint Creek, or are you not ready yet? How is the leg?

I'm going to take a new rider across beury mt. in the am. It will be his first ds ride so we'll be taking it slow and easy so, he can get the fill for his new bike.
I don't think he has much riding experience so we'll see how he does.

The leg is 100% as far as riding is concerned but I'm going to stick to dirt roads and back roads on the DR.
If I ever get a true dirt bike, then I'll be ready for the trail.

If I don't ride pretty soon, the gas is going to go bad in the m/c.
