Good job Buff!

My nephew is 17 and runs cross country. His goal for his senior year is to be in the mid 15's on a XC 5k that kid runs every day and has done several half marathons. It's a lot of work, I try to run but my knees scream at me to stop so I pedal more often.

Keep it up man, anything that keeps you healthy is good. Check out the strava app for a smart phone, they have a running and cycling app for free, it's a great way to track progress and routes. Just a warning the stupid app is addictive.

Running seems to be addictive

I changed my plans with the shipping company and I'll have my bike for the next two weekends. A friend from Cleveland had mentioned riding near Parkersburg. Are any of you guys familiar with any riding to the west of the state? If he bails I'll probably just head southeast from Clarksburg since that seems to be the unanimous suggestion.

Also, are there any local places that sell Gazetteers? I'd rather buy local if I can.

Usually most decent book stores have them, I don't even remember where I bought mine I've had it so long.
Not sure if I'll be home this coming weekend, our client has some blueprint "issues" so I'm on stand by right now.

I live near Pburg and work there now. Like most of the state, there are tons of back roads/trails around there. I leave after work sometimes for an 100 mile loop or so. I'm busy this weekend (riding a national dual- sport event) but I can do something most other times.

You can buy the Gazetteers at Walmart, among other places.

What bike will you be riding?

I'm on a BMW 650 single. I'll check out some book stores tomorrow and save Wally World for a last resort. Thanks!

Wal mart sucks.
Your bike would handle any where I would lead you.

You don't like it much do ya?

Most of my riding is dirt "roads", but I do have limited access to a parcel of land that is crossed with old logging road that have turned into quad paths.
I have no idea where most of them lead, I came out in the next county once

I am in Winfield, between Charleston and Huntington. Bob and I can show you around this area.

I'm and hr north of pburg and am usually home by 6:30 or so.... Do you know more specifically when you will be here? Gabby knows the vast majority of the good local back roads by heart so he is a great tour guide.

Forgot... IngoldWV just moved back up to pburg so he may also be down for a ride in the Parkersburg area.
