Yep, mine was the same.

It is sort of like, half have the left hand header in the right hand header slip joint, while trying to hold the header in the head while making sure the exhaust gaskets don't fall out, type thingo.

Pain in the arse mate for sure.

Did you modify the exhaust or manage to get it all to fit? I will post pics but with the header on the head bolts the front joint wont join together, and when the front joint is together the header on the one side wont fit over the head bolts! Talk about frustrating!!

Yep I got it too fit and yep frustrating.

I used some silicone RTV too hold the exhaust gaskets in place, just a light coating.
I put a little in the slip joint too.

It is sort of like don't put it together in the slip joint too far first but get it just past the head bolts while keeping the slip joint from falling apart while keeping it the right angle while having the collector 2 into 1 section from hitting the engine side cover while holding your tongue to the left and your eyes to the right while missing the front wheel with your back while standing on your head.

Maybe have a joint and give it a go then

Hey Crobbo,

Thanks for the pictures!! I actually ended up taking the header to a shop and have them go at it with a torch and bend it a bit. With a couple of hard drinks, swearing and a large mallet, it is now on my bike!!
Next frustration is figuring out which aftermarket radiator to go with.
I have come up with 3 brands:
1:Fluidyne
2:PWN
3:Mylers (http://www.motorcycleradiators.com/e...ators-_SET.htm)

So what say ye? I would preferably like something that doesn't require the same frustration the Staintune did!

Thanks guys!!!

Steve

I have the Fluidyne and they're great but if I ever have to replace them I'd buy from Mylers. They have a great reputation for their custom work.
