FWIW, its open enough for bikes to get through, though legally closed. I prerouted it on the GPS to connect two rides this past weekend. Came upon the closed sign heading north and decided to continue on and check it out. Pretty good wash out to each lane in different areas, but almost an all pavement ride through the closed section. Its too narrow in spots for cars to pass and who knows how stable for any serious weight.

I got "The Look" from the DOT guy when he figured out I was gonna do that, so I stopped and chatted, instead. Hopefully made a good impression instead of pissing anyone off .

I saw some signs of work happening up there today, first time since they closed it, so if you head that way, be careful .

I rolled through about 4 to 5 on Saturday and no one was around other than a couple of local swim hole dippers on the upper side of the worst section. Kind of gave me the impression that it would be a while before work would begin. Cool they're on it.

Raise yer hand if you'd take that for a rip if given the opportunity.

I'd be all over that wagon EC. Back when I lived in SoCal I had a neighbor that made wagon go kart and I raced him around the neighborhood on a KTM 50. I had the advantage because I could jump on and off curbs.

One of you FFs tooted the bike horn as you passed my place about 10 minutes ago. I was inside, nursing a Scotch to relax from an afternoon of Class VI exploring. It must have been an inmate passing by.... my normal friends don't ride.
