Got it home and started looking a little harder.. found all kinds of "other" stuff.

Close up of the RAM mount

Remote for a passport radar detector?

I'm new to the GS is there something missing here?

Storage cylinder

12V converter to cig lighter plus a USB/wall charger

Does anyone know what model Garmin this mount takes?

Not sure but the tool set looks complete.

I didn't get enough seat time on Saturday so I had to take it out on Sunday and mix it up with some street and dirt.

Love this bike so far.

Question - I have adjusted the seat into the high position because it felt like I was riding on my NUTS (sorry ladies). Unfortunately the problem is still there. I'm wearing jeans while riding for now but man this nut busting is getting old.

Any advice?

Close up of the RAM mount Looks like a phone mount.

I'm new to the GS is there something missing here? That is the mounting location for an optional lock. I have only once seen one.

Storage cylinder Nice to have that for carrying tools without your bags.

Not sure but the tool set looks complete. Almost complete. It is missing the plastic tool to take off your oil filler cap and adjust your windscreen, neither of which is needed.

I believe your GPS mount is a TT cradle for a Garmin Zumo 665?

Interested in selling the mount?

Help for the seat issue

Give "the boys" some sheepskin to sit on or invest in riding shorts for a little less

That's a possibility. Let me do some research and soul searching. Not sure if I will be using/needing a GPS.

I'll get back to you.

The "Boys"

Set the seat in the high position on the front and the low in the back.

I had the same issue of sliding forward and mashing things when I got the GS a few years ago. This trick mentioned by Kyle B worked made a really big difference for me too.

Good stuff Polarice, a good buy!

I'm glad to see others suggesting the high front/low back seat setting - my '04 manual says not to do that, but after a good look at the mountings and some measuring up I could see no reason at all not to do it. So I've had it that way for a few years and it's all good.
I use a lambswool seat cover and sports-leg undies and the dangly bits are all good.
