I hear ya. Yeah the "it was a brand new battery 3 years ago, and I've never used it, so it should be good" line

That is for grills, although that FJ1200 could use a little of that treatment, before I succumb to (even more) foolish ideas of getting it running.

If she does end up with it Spike make sure you take the tassels off before handing it over. Chick owned or not, no bike deserves to have tassels attached to it.

give me the tassels, I'll put them on the GF's bike when she's not home.

*sigh*

Should I go for a ride after work, or should I put the Tiger up on the stand and start tearing into it for its 36K maintenance / valve job?

Not sure I can be arsed to do any wrenching tonight.

You can do both, put the Tiger on the stand and remove enough parts to ensure you will do the maintenance before putting the parts back on...

Then go for a ride on one of your other bikes, the jealousy between the bikes in yer garage must be thick enough to cut with a fork

It's a tough problem, but I am just about keeping all the bikes happy.

This morning I devised a nice wallchart, to easily keep track of which bikes have been ridden, and so on.

Yes, wallcharts, very engineering. I like.

Yes, wallcharts, very obsessive compulsive anal retentive. I like.
I am sure this is behind the bikes, where they cant see it right?

Yes. The chart would feature last date ridden, next scheduled service mileage, and the nature of that service, and tyre pressures, for easy reference.

I could even add details for when parts are in / out of stock. This would be a good thing. Yes.

Hot damn, that's it. I'm making this chart.

No need for it to be behind the bikes specifically, as the easily viewable performance measures would help each bike understand where it needs to improve. The Bonneville could start by growing a comfortable seat, for instance.

Maybe I'll even add current mpg values for each bike, although that is a detail really, that can be easily found in my detailed excel service logs.

For those of you reading along - no, I am not kidding.
