Help for trip to the Dolomites

Hello I am planning a little trip in the Dolomite in the begining of August.
We would be leaving from Frankfurt and as it is the first trip with my girlfriend and as we only have a week I would thinking to drive down with the bike on my trailer to avoid autobahn on a naked bike.
See the bike we will drive is a Moto Guzzi Centauro. For sure not the best cruising bike but the only one I have for this trip !

I want to avoid to put off my girlfriend by exposing her to 1200 km autobahn back and forth on the back off that thing.

So my question is where could I leave my car and trailer during the week ?
Anyone had similar experience driving down with a car and trailer and then leaving it in the area ?

Is that 5 riding days? (1 day down, 5 riding and 1 back)

Good call!

The autobahns going south seem to be experiencing severe congestion - MUCH more comfortable in a car in the heat. I saw a tailback that was almost 10 km long as I was returning to Heidelberg on Monday.

If you have 5 riding days, I would recommend that you get a hotel in either Corvara in Badia or Arabba and arrange with the hotel to let you park your car & trailer while you ride.

There is MORE than enough to keep you busy for 5 days, and not having to pack each morning and find a hotel each night makes for a very relaxing ride. Also, if you get a day of very bad weather, you can just stay inside and wait for a break in the weather.

I know that the Hotel Evaldo in Arabba used to permit this (they probably still do), as I've seen cars with bike trailers parked there during my stays - I assume that others would also extend the courtesy. (The Evaldo is a bit pricey, but VERY nice).

I'll be in Frankfurt later today for my flight home.

There are several underground parkings in Bozen - I would try that of Renon seilbahn.
Edit - not cheap , there are other possibilities here http://www.bolzano-bozen.it/fileadmi...lzano_2013.pdf

hej

if you plan to use a campsite, why are you demanding a parking place for your trailer (i may not imagine, that you plan to use NO campsite in italy)?
