2014 BMW GS Trophy Challange

Alright ladies and gentleman the 2014 GS Trophy Challenge Qualifier has been set for September 20-22 2013 at the Performance Center in Greer, SC! I was there last year and qualified 3rd, but sadly didn't make it through social media portion of the event. I can tell you from experience this is a real riders event. Don't worry about your skill level, this is all about having fun. Its a great time to just hang out with other off road riders, and all the PC trainers. I encourage anyone with a BMW dual sport to attend, if for nothing else than all the cool stuff in the swag bag.

They have not announced where the actual challenge will be but I am sure it will be impressive.

Hope to see you there.

The final 12 from 2012

Its not all about riding they make you do all sorts of motorcycle related things, in this event we had to push the bike, pick it up, and change the wheel.

The PC guys really know how to host an event!

And the venue is second to none

Playing in that SC sand

I'm in as well and will be riding down from NYC.

Looking forward to meeting a bunch of great people and doing some gnarly riding!! Just got back from a week of riding in Vermont on some nice super slimy NE doubletrack

Are there any good campsites nearby?

Cheers, James

Seems like fun! How many people went to the US qualifier last year? Think I might have to come down as well.

Cheers,
Con

How did you find out there wasn't any camping? If not, bummer. I thought that wa a good element from last year.

I heard about "no camping" at the RA Rally in Asheville.
When I called & registered for the Challenge I asked...

It seems they didn't want any motorcycle trailers or RVs in their parking lot "taking too much space." You can still haul your bike in the back of a truck or ride to the event.

I'm sure this is the car side talking, and the motorcycle training staff folks have to follow the rules.

I have reserved a few spots in my name and people can let me know if they are interested.

I stayed there last year. I may mike in on your reservations. Thx

However, last year there were two days of camping in the midst of the competition. I am confused as to how the competition could happen without that. Hotels aren't plentiful and camping was a part of the gs vibe.

OK Guys, I reserved two campsites(#23 and 25) for the 26-29th.They allow two tents per site. The rate was ~21.00/night. Let me know if you want in.

Cheers, James
