THE BATTLE OF MINISINK was such an embarrassment to the

Historic Roebling Bridge

http://goo.gl/maps/HRyY3

The Historic Roebling Bridge only a few miles up Rt 97 from the Rally.

From:
http://www.wagmanconcrete.com/projec...ing-bridge.asp

"This bridge is the sole survivor of four suspension aqueducts built by John
A. Roebling, who later designed the Brooklyn Bridge. Originally built in 1848
to carry the Delaware and Hudson Canal across the Delaware River, it was
later converted to a vehicular bridge after the demise of the canal."

Today, the Delaware River Highlands is one of the largest bald eagle
wintering grounds in North America.

Hundreds of eagles return here each winter for the undisturbed habitat,
open water and ample fish populations that they need in order to survive winter.

Every year, more and more eagles decide to stay and call this place
home.

Eagles mate for life and return to the same general areas from
which they fledged.

Nests are reused and added to each year; becoming eight or more
feet deep, six feet wide and weighing hundreds of pounds.

Breeding pairs in the Delaware River Highlands continue to have
successful seasons each year.

Zane Grey

Zane Grey Museum

Prolific western author Zane Grey (1872-1939) began his career relating stories of his fishing experiences along the Upper Delaware River. He lived in Lackawaxen, PA from 1895 to 1918. Lackawaxen always held a special place in his memories, and was chosen as the site of his final resting place.

Today, Grey’s home is preserved by the
National Park Service as a part of the Upper Delaware Scenic and
Recreational River.

If you plan on moving the tag north do take some pics of the campground.
Better yet place it at Cedar Rapids Bar and Grill.
