I am going to look for a Decca to replace my lithium Shoria. Ive had the Decca in my Aprilia`s and they are very good. A battery speacialist told me the yellow MotoBatt is a knock off of it.

I have found that the motobatt will fit but it only has a cracking amps of 160.
We're the stock battery what is yuasa ytz14s has a cracking amps of 230.

My question is will 160 cranking amps be enough to crack over the bike and last a long time with out killing the battery. I think it's a gel but not sure.

Help is needed before I buy.

Why do you want a gel battery when the lithium ion are light and powerful?

I bought a 12 cell Ballistic battery for my current bike and it has 400 cold cranking amps and weighs 2.5lbs.

The problem is finding a battery that will fit the box on the 06 990 adv. so I think a gel would be a good replacement for a sealed acid one.

The Ballistics battery I installed was 2/3 the size of the original AGM battery. I used some of the foam packing material to fill the void.
