Gotta go through Germany on GS, need some coffer advice

Hi, folks!

First of all - sorry for my bad english, gotta less drink and more learn.

I am proud owner of 1150GS. I bought standart touring cases for my BMW - Touring plastic side coffers. I don't like them (especially left one, which is always try to burn with my exhaust pipe - I don't have a passenger pegs).

I wasa going to ride some little european trip (Moscow-Saint_Petersburg-Helsinki-Berlin-Prague-Munich-Paris-Braunshweig-Lodz'-Minsk-Moscow). And invented very smart plan - go ride with germo bag (leaving my plastic cases at home), and then shop-shop-shop at motherland of my BMW.

BUT.

I wrote a letter to Touratech, where I ask do they have any aluminium coffres, AND (which is more significant) that coffres mounting system for my 1150GS. An you know what I read as answer? They do not producing anymore anything for 1150GS :

My great smart plan totally ruined. Other big BMW tuning firms have awful sites (like wunderlich - shop is not working, or hepco&becker - shop is totally pictures-cifers and nothing more), so it seems nobody producing stuff for my old horse.

Can anyone tell me - is there any ways to get some good stuff for my old yellow submarine at Berlin (maybe Hamburg?)?

Thanks to all of you

P.S. If someone wishes to meet me at these cities and drink a couple of beer - let's do it!

No personal experience, but a Google search
"Bmw 1150gs aluminum side cases"
brings up this online company in Germany

http://www.teileineile.de/en/bmw-mot...50gs-adventure

you might try contacting them

I plan only to visit Germany, not live there. Where should I ship it? :)

If you mean shipping to Russia - forget about it. 2 weeks of awaiting is minimum. Generally it's about month. Russian customs and post is crap like hell.

BTW: It is mountable to the genuine BMW rack system.

As I wrote before - genuine BMW rack system is not suitable for me - previous owner of my BMW for some reasons chop detents at passenger pegs.

Al Jesse in the United States still makes bags and mounts for the 1150. Not cheap, but very strong.

And then, there's the getting them to Europe.

Guys! Guise!

I understand, that I can find all of that in Internets and then order it to me.

But I ask other thing. Can I arrive to Berlin, and shop-shop-shop things for my GS somewhere there, just ride and buy, no orders, no shipping, no crap.

While many of the 1150 parts are listed as 'pre-order', there are still some luggage systems which are listed 'available' on the German Touratech web site. I'd contact the Touratech sales manager in Berlin or Hamburg and ask him directly, if he can find something for you.

For a shipping address you could ask a hotel in the area if they'd take delivery of parcels for you, until you're staying there. Works for me all the time.

There are some smaller companies in Germany making nice pannier systems, e.g. http://roger.mainufer.de/modules.php...showpage&pid=1 (That's a German page, but you can droll at the pictures and use google for translation ...)

Thank you, bro! I appreciate that.

About hotels - I plan to stay 1 day in Berlin, and 2 days in Munich. I'm afraid this is not enough time to deliver any orders... Anyway, I say again - I am really negative susrprised about that fact, that I cannot really just go to the shop and by stuff for my BMW :(

Coffers via link you've provided looks really good, but I didn't find any prices and can I buy it for real, or should, again, order it.

UPD: Found address of this guy Reinhard, it is Warzburg, not in my route, heh :\

You can have a look here https://www.louis.de/ and see if you find anything you like. There are multiple outlets of louis in Berlin and they should be able to get you all backorder stuff if you contact them beforhand.

Other options would be http://www.hein-gericke.de/ or http://www.polo-motorrad.de/ which have multiple outlets in Berlin, too.

Oh, yes, you could contact them, too if they can get you something for the 1150 GS http://www.touratech-berlin.de/

There's also Bernd Tesch ...he makes racks and aluminium boxes for your GS, although he's a one man business, so you might have to plan ahead if you think about just riding there and getting them fitted.
He's somewhere near Aachen, not quite on your route.

Here's the website: http://www.berndtesch.de/English/EIndex.html

How about Holan, they still list racks for 1150GS on their website: http://holan.pl/gb/luggage-racks-and...l#.Uf4iuhZmi-I

They're located in Wroclaw which is not too far from your route from Berlin to Łódź.
