Okay, since it's finally evening....

These are about 500 miles in, and this weekend had a good ride spinning them up on gravel and dirt roads a wee bit.

They look like they would be noisey as hell and feel rough on the back. How is the side grip off road.
Interesting !

Compared to the Tractionator these are effing silent. As it goes now I can hear my front tire over this rear. Unless I'm almost stopped I can't feel it.

It hooked up just fine on gravel and dirt. Haven't had them in any mud or rain, so I can't speak to that yet.

That 140 looks to fit pretty well, suprisingly enough.

Anyone add this tire to the LC8 tire thread? I didn't bother looking through it.

big the price difference- 150/70-18 MSRP $263.95 VS. 140/80-18 MSRP $129.95!! Specs don't seem to indicate radial vs non-radial; but the price difference would make me think otherwise. The MCE Karoo 2 150/70-18 is a radial.... and the 140/80 is not- same price variance $264 vs $129

Talk to us Mikee, how do you like the Karoos?

I'm waiting for a credible opinion on them to pull the trigger.

I'm running the stock 908's (excellent mud and dirt) but in the street... Here in Miami the sky falls almost every day and the 908's are like a bar of soap on the floor

Which size are you planning to get? I'm waiting for the 150, but I haven't been able to find one in stock. Lot's of vendors list them, but the 150s are always out of stock.

BTW Peter, you've got to post some pics of riding the Baja in Miami. Somehow, that just doesn't compute... Actually, I just want to see pics of Miami.

I took a picture yesterday of the rear tread after about 1700 miles. I'll try to get it posted today.

As far as me liking the tire, I do and I don't. It is far quieter than the Tractionator since it's softer, but when I look at it it LOOKS like it wears way faster. I have no complaints about traction, but I've only had it out in the dry. I handles the commuting speeds I do around here with no problems, and the one time I had it on dirt/gravel it performed admirably.

Not sure what the difference in feel would be for the 150 vs the 140.

For $100, I'd buy it again, but so far this summer I haven't had too much time to really enjoy it anywhere but on the tarmac. For that I'll be moving to a more street orientated tire. For the price, and until the Anakee Wild is available, this would be my go to tire unless I knew I was going to do an absolute ton of off road, then I'd go the Tractionator.

Probably 205, but any idea when 150s will be widely available in the US? I've been on the "notify me" lists for a month or so.

AMT are good folks, always prompt, free shipping.
