+1 on HDB

I like them much better than the cycra I had.

EE problem

The E.E.'s have one major issue that I found out the hard way. The inboard connection to the handlebars loops underneath the hydraulic brake and clutch lines. A very minor tip over in a bad place resulted in a hole in my clutch pipe(as KTM calls it). The handguard moved up about two inches and pinched the line. Needless to say, HDB's will be on all of my bikes from now on. Much better design and a great person to buy from.

Like the EE version, I have the Barkbuster Storms and the inboard mount in tight against the Brake pipe and close to the Clutch pipe. I'm not happy with that.

I had Cycras on a couple of dirtbikes. A 125 2T of mine tipped over in the pits and the Cycra mounts shattered. They sent me a new one, but I never trusted them again

+10 for the Cycra's. I have installed many pairs in my day and they are the strongest aluminum in my opinion. I have put them on some bikes that required a little bending for the perfect fit and wow, they are strong. Like move the whole work bench that the vice was mounted to kind of strong. I have them on my adv for that reason and they have survived many gravity storms. To make them super duper strong put the thread inserts in the end of the bars.

Cool2 Any conclusions?

Hello,
I read a bit in the forums...

My conclusions are:

HDB are good. But... I got lost in their site. Not sure what to order.

Barckbustrs Same as above. Couldnt find the right model for the 990.

Cycra Same as above. Couldnt find the right model for the 990.

FIT Didnt like the way they look.

I really liked the ACERBIS. Are they any good? Would they fit the 990?

Anything new besides these above?

Thanks

Currently running cycras quite happily but talking to Paul at hdb via email for a final solution. Like the mirrors and want the upper clamp switch and power solutions.
