Touratech Seats

I'm looking for a really comfortable seat for my 2012 990 adventure R. KTM twins claims they sell a Touratech seat that's made to order 4-6 weeks delivery time. Its 2 cm taller than stock and costs $563.oo I'm kind of on the tall side 6'1" so I like taller seat idea. I already bought a KTM soft gel seat but it hasn't really impressed me. Not only that but the guy from KTM Twins ensured me it was the same height as a stock seat, and its 2 cm shorter than a stock seat. I'm not the brightest bulb on the tree but it would make sense to me to fill in that 2 cm with soft stuff to make the seat more comfortable, JMO. Does anyone know what's a good seat to get for my motorcycle???

If you do a search of this section using the term "seat", you should come up with tons of information.

Deep Breath everyone, all together now....RENAZCO

Don't waste your time with the Touratech seats, overpriced and little better than stock,

Had a Renazco on my SM and was very happy with it. Recently picked up a used Tourtech for my Adventure. I like it much better than stock. I would rate it equal to the Renazco. TT price new is ridiculous in my view. Renazco offers customization and is great to work with.

Seat concepts sells a tall seat that looks pretty nice. $170 gets you the foam + the cover. I have not tried the Seat Concepts on a 950A but have on my SMT and they are parallel in comfort to the Renazca but a bunch cheaper without the wait.

Just Purchased

I just purchased the Saddleman Adventure Tour seat. Have done a couple 350 or so mile weekends and like it. Its not a road sofa but it beats the stuff out of the stock seat.

My 950 came with a Corbin and the stocker and I just bought a Touratech off an inmate for a really nice price. And I've seen and only sat on Renazcos.

The Corbin wasnt for me.....and sold it.

The stocker? Well you know.

The Touratech so far feels really good - VERY similar to the Renazco in feel and finish and design. But at retail they're stuff always seems really high priced.....of course then again, you'd have to wait a long time for a Renazco......BUT - there is one for sale right now on the Fleamarket - if you act quick
Edit: Also, the Seat Concepts stuff is quite nice and a bargain. Plus, their customer service is phenomenal. I've had two on other models and liked them - did my own install and stapling. My friend has one on his 450 and and 250 and loves em. His 250 was getting a little bunched up by the tank and they tucked and restitched for him on a quick turnaround.

+1 Renazco.

The seat is perfect and you'll be hard pressed to find nicest people than James & Sonia to deal with.

There are numerous threads about this. I researched seats last week and went with Seat Concepts. For the price it can't be beat. I was surprised how quickly they shipped it. Should be here by Thursday. My sorry azz can't wait.

Thanks for the information, I've been in contact with the people at Renazco.
