Aye Chiwawa!!

Yesterday was one a those days equivalent to perfect powder days for skiers. Recent light rain and minimal early season traffic made for ideally tacky soil and zero dust with no rutted out sections. Even the whoops were manageable. The switch backs are still a challenge with a 125. It's a razor thin edge from lugging to flame out. Ask me how I know, and I'll show you some plastic scars Oh, and we didn't see another soul all day long.

Goose Creek Campground to about half a mile from the end of Minnow is clear. Thanks to those that have been out with the saws. Chikamin has the wall 'o tree shown in the Captain's photos above at about a mile from the Minnow/Chikamin intersection.

Anyone up for a trip out again next week (let's say Wednesday) with tools? Not too much riding, but lots of sawing opportunity.

I've still got the 'berg. Of course it's way heavier for you to pick up when i drop it than the 125 is.

Wednesday or Thursday

Report on Thumper Talk is that Chikamin got cleared this weekend. I'm open either Wednesday or Thursday, but it won't probably be a clearing-out ride, just a trail ride. I'm open to other ideas as well.

Husky First Ride

Anyone want to come along to Tahuya or Walker on Thursday this week? I'm planning a half hour of gentle riding, then a compression check, then a couple hours of riding like I stole it (at least the 65-year-old's version of that plan).

Might be fun to watch.

Wednesday, 1/15?

Looks like I can only get away next Wednesday for an outing. I'm going to guess that no snorkel is required yet at Tahuya and suggest a ride there, but I'm up for Walker as well.

Any interested parties?

I'm in for Tahuya first, then Walker if it gets more votes.
