i rode my DR over rainy/washington pass last saturday at about 8 pm, set up camp outside Winthrop about 15 miles north, in a familiar spot. Awoken to torrential style downpours, high winds, thunder and lightning at about 1 am. Good thing my tent is pretty bombprof, and i camped in a spot with dirt berms on each side, and no tree hazards. I heard a couple hit the ground n the gusts

Had to ride round leavenworth on the way home, obviously. Sounds like you were in the thick of it. Good thing you're safe!
