Pretty cool Scott Is that the ride you were tell me about yesterday? I just might have to start exploring Washington. Think the video came out great. And I know that little head on on was just staged right, right.

Yeah that's the stuff - None of that video was more than 3 hours away from PDX. I should plead the 5th on the head-on - my fault for not communicating better that I was stopping for a few mintues to futz with the camera. We were both laughing though so it's all good.

Scott,
Great riding with you! 400 miles in three days! Weather was perfect except for a couple hours friday night! Stopped at a campsite because of an impending storm and wicked sky! Set up tent and camp at 8:00pm, Hectically throw everything in the tent at 8:40, 8:45 dive into tent change out of riding gear as the sky opened up! Rain, hail, lighting, thunder till 10:45, had to yell to communicate for the entire storm! Was very cool to watch the tent being lit up every couple of seconds by lightning... pretty much there was not a 4 second lapse of thunder and lightening till about 11:00pm, no cooking dinner that night!

The head on could have been staged, haha! Scott was following me on 5601 and he did not communicate that he was setting up video... After a long absence, I turn around to check out what was up! I was on an uphill and could stop quickly, Scott on the other hand was coming down... no quick stopping for him!
I should have gone a bit to my right, but I thought he could whoa it down! Nope...He actually stopped next to me and we both just fell over laughing!
My speed was low and so was his, it just shows how fast you are approaching one another on a trail, I was looking for him, don't think he was looking for me.... but as you can see, a head on can happen quickly!
It is probably one of the most dangerous situations in dense brush, Just ask Kilowatt how I was one of the first responder's to his wife's head on! That was ugly...
Scott, what ever happened to the footage of the first night's thunderstorm, light show, rain and hail? That would have been epic to put the gopro on the table for awhile..next time!

Now that sounds like an adventure. Okay Scott, where's more video? And don't try that "I got a work excuse". And pictures, I haven't seen pictures yet.

jjdun7,
I never took my camera out once, sorry! I know, sacrilege! I just read your ride reports and look at your pictures, they are way better than mine anyhow! I know you photogs are a cool bunch and get way better photo's than I do with my small camera!
Anyway it's kinda like my signature line, not being rude at all, I just like to ride!

Tom Bodett has a solution for that problem.

Thank you for the compliment that you're mistaken. I'm not a photog. All of my stuff is done with a point-and-shoot or a cell phone. Besides it doesn't really matter . It's just fun to see where other people are going and learn about new places .

When Tom builds one of those things in a place I want to use it then I might, just might take him up on it...... Nope, I hate motels, nasty filthy stinky places to wash your self and gear in the middle of a D/S ride only!
I'd rather tent than stay in a motel any night... I like camping, for now!
It was not a problem, I entered said tent just as the sky unleashed, ten minutes later would have been a wet soppy mess!

Well even better then, as you have taken the time to stop, look and compose what you want to portray in a pic. I only have so much time to ride so i ride, simple! I do carry a camera and cell so I'll have to stop being lazy and start shooting...

AJ,
I am trying to get Scott on my wavelength, less is more, go fast go light....You on the other hand are a master at bringing what is really needed; ice, alcohol, and mixers, in the middle of nowhere! You have the bike to get it there though! Even you have started to lighten up the load! Broken subframes suck! Right?

FWIW - Definately hauling the big tent to WETFEST in 3 weeks*. Disco lights, sound system and indoor seating area will be in place! Damn thing requires I ride the BMW though, and haven't reconciled it to being a trail bike yet....need to crash it a few more times first . Then again...I may not leave camp, specially if Peterman turns up.

Y'all planning on being there right ...
